I had to disable almost everything and set the resolution to 720p to get a semi-playable experience. Perhaps it has been already mentioned by everyone else but the game is very strict on FPS. My obvious biggest issue with this demo is the optimization. By the way, when I've completed the portal, I accidentally hit restart and when I left after that, the progress didn't save, just something to consider. I get that it's supposed to be an open-world game, that will be a breeze to go through with Sonic's speed but as long as you continue to develop the fan-game, the bigger the environment will get, to the point where Fast Travel will be needed anyway.

And please add Fast Travel like Frontiers does with it's portals. narrow? I don't know, I feel like it's not as satisfying to control in, as say Kronos Island in Frontiers, which this fan-game is based on. The score-based rank system makes me kind of annoyed but it's just my preference. Especially the spindash, that one gave me problems, since Sonic is rarely speeding up in his normal speed. I appreciate the effort that has been put into it, although it took time to get used to, due to the controls being very weird. I’ve noticed the complaints in various design choices and such, and I’ll listen to your guys’ issues if that gives me a chance to improve the game, just keep in mind the above whenever discussing about technical issuesĪfter spending a lot of time in the tech demo last year, I'm glad the work on this has continued.

I'm sorry for presenting the game in such a bad state, but I promise whenever we upload a new demo (god knows when that happens), I'll take all of the feedback everyone left over the internet into account and hopefully put out something that is the best it can be! I will not be patching the game further as I've experienced a borderline deadly amount of stress these few days trying to both get the demo out in time and patch it out based on the initial launch issues, and I'd rather protect my health than keep fixing the game. I am very much aware of all the issues almost everyone seems to be having, and it is all because I rushed this way before it was ready. Thought it'd be best to address this in the gamepage itself, as opposed to Twitter or anywhere else.
